Time to gear up for September with some really big shows that everyone has been anticipating. With this anticipation we have OVER 100 NEW GECKOS that have NOW been posted to the web site, so keep your eyes licked for new hot geckos before they disappear yet again! On August 28th & 29th, 2010 Northern Gecko will be attending the NEW Western Canadian Reptile Expo 2010 (http://www.wcre.ca) in Red Deer, Alberta and representing ourselves in Western Canada for the first time. We will have a representative on site to answer all your questions armed with some killer Rhacodactylus geckos. We will also be offering a COMPLETE line of Repashy Superfoods products for sale at the show. To show our appreciation to our Western customers all Crested Geckos you order for delivery to the show from our web site will be offered at a 20% discount. Delivery to the Red Deer show will also be free of charge (this normally costs about $100). Please note all other gecko pre-sales (other than Crested Geckos) will be at regular price but delivery to the show will be free. Thw 20% off offer requires a two gecko minimum. If you don't see what you are looking for on the site (Gargs, Leachies, etc. please ask as we have lots of stuff not posted). Can't wait to meet some of our Western customers! Also, on September 11th, 2010 we have the HAMM show in Germany. 20% off all Crested Geckos will be honoured for HAMM sales up until September 7th, 2010 (two gecko minimum), which is the last day you can make payment for geckos to be shipped to the HAMM show. We thought this would be a nice trade off as all VAT fees to ship to HAMM are 19%. This in essence wipes the VAT fee off your total cost of getting geckos to the show. Hey everyone, I figured it was time for an update as I have not really written here in almost two months. I wanted to thank all those who attended this past June 28th Reptile Expo in Mississauga and for making it a great success for us. We always love when you stop by to say hello and chat gecko! We are in the swing of breeding season with lots of hotties hatching every day. We are constantly updating all Availability sections on the site as soon as we feel something is up to size to be sold. So make sure you check in often if you don't want to miss that hard-to-find gecko. We are also going to be showcasing some new Up and Coming Breeders in the near future so you can see what we held back last year. I think you will like what you see. I certainly do! Are you a retail pet store looking to sell geckos or Reapshy Superfoods at your establishment? Contact us to discuss opportunities to purchase pet store grade Crested and Gargoyle geckos for resale. These geckos would not be high-end (the stuff I offer in my own on-line retail section) but some very nice geckos that will please your customers. Mark. May 3, 2010 - SOME SPECIAL ANIMALS ADDED! I have recently divided the Leachianus section into two (one for Offshore and another for Grande Terre locales). In order to get the GT section started, I have decided to offer up two animals I would never consider selling. These are older GT geckos that have had some time to grow (one is over two years old) and they are Pure Yate GTs. One is a Sub-Adult and another will be ready to breed this coming season, While the pricing on these animals are high, consider how often animals of this size and quality are offered for sale. I can tell you from experience I have never offered any to date, just juveniles. I will soon be posting the last couple of Chahoua and Gargs I will have for this season as well. Also, expect more Crested Geckos in the red category to go up in time for HAMM shipping for the June show. We are well underway with incubation this season with well over 1500 eggs incubating. Mark. April 6, 2010 - MORE NEW CRESTED GECKOS ADDED! Hi everyone. Hope spring time is treating you well. We have just added a bunch more super high-end Crested geckos to our web site today. Mark. February1, 2010 - 100 NEW CRESTED GECKOS ON THE WAY! Happy new year to everyone. Hope you had a great one so far. If you have been keeping your eyes on the availables page recently you probably noticed we have sold out of almost all of our Crested Geckos. Many people have been asking when more will be on the way. Well we have been taking pictures for quite a few days now and finally we will be ready to showcase a bunch of sexable geckos. There are some REALLY nice geckos here. Remember also that Northern Gecko now ships geckos to the USA and to the upcoming March HAMM show in Germany! US orders are "to your door AM service" for $65, anywhere in the USA (weather conditions permitting) with an order minimum of $300 (Canadian funds). HAMM orders will be bulked together and sent out in one shipment and delivered to the show. Mark. December 7, 2009 - NOW SHIPPING TO THE USA and HAMM! It had to happen and it's finally here. Just in time for the new year, Northern Gecko is now able to ship geckos to the USA and to the HAMM shows in Germany! We will be bundling up orders and shipping out every couple of weeks weather permitting. For HAMM Shows please enquire as we will be running delivery to the show direct from Canada. Thanks everyone! Mark. October 10, 2009 - CONGRATS TO THE WINNER OF OUR IRCF.ORG RAFFLE AT THE CRBE I have been meaning to write a note for a while now about the CRBE. For the first show of its kind in Canada I was VERY impressed with how it went down and the turnout. I am quite certain that next year this show can only get better. The environment was extremely professional and I look forward to more events like this. If you are from the USA this show should not be missed next year. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hello, looked at some of our future breeders or made a purchase. It was nice to see everyone and put faces to names I usually only see in emails. I also wanted to congratulate the winner of our IRCF.ORG raffle fundraiser. Over two days we raised $206, which will be donated to the IRCF. Not too shabby! Congrats to Jacob & Lynne Melnyk, who took home the living (geckos) and non-living (Foods, supplements and garments) prize pack valued at almost $400! For those who are not familiar with the International Reptile Conservation Foundation, I suggest you head over to their site to witness great things they are up to. Final note, as the breeding season comes to an end. Looks like we have just about finished with egg laying for the reason and it will be time to cool all the geckos down soon. There are still plenty of eggs in the incubator and much more to hatch. Just watching the results this season has been very exciting. Hoping everyone else's season went well also. It seems we have finally solved most of the website problems that have been dogging us for the summer and are now back on track. All correspondence should be back up and running. Mark. March 20, 2009 - MORE GECKOS FOR SALE ANY DAY NOW! Hi everyone. It has been some time since I have updated the site with new geckos. Well, I have made some changes to the Crested Gecko section to reflect the diversity of geckos I will be offering in the next short while. Crested Geckos will now be divided into Male, Female and Unsexable groups so that it is easier to find what you are looking for. There will also be a Specials section and Group pricing for future offers. And my personal favorite "No Tail and On Sale." While tailless geckos can be just as nice as their tailed counterparts, some people just don't "share the love." Some special prices will be offered on these geckos here. As far as other geckos go, we are just about sold out of leachies until July with only a couple remaining and our Chahouas are all gone. Watch for NEW leachianus, Gargoyle and Chahoua breeders debuting this season. I am going to try and get pictures up of some of our new breeders shortly. We also are lucky to be the first in Canada to be breeding White Stripe Sarasinorum this season. Hopefully, we will have some offspring to offer this year. I will be adding over 30 sexable geckos to the site in the next few days so if you are looking for something special keep your eyes peeled! I also wanted to say thanks to everyone that stopped by to visit us and chat at the Toronto Reptile Expo in February. It was a pleasure to put faces to a lot of customers. Mark November 5, 2008 The Expo is just around the corner once more (Sun., November 16, 2008 http://www.reptileexpo.ca/mississauga/index.php). I have been very neglectful and I have not offered any new geckos on my site for some time. I apologize for this by putting a bunch of almost ready to breed females on the for sale page. These Crested Geckos are either ready to breed now or will be at the beginning of the season. I will also be updating the Gargoyles, Chahouas and Leachianus sections shortly to reflect current avaliability. Keep your eyes "licked" if you are hoping to snag something here as many of these geckos are one of a kind. I simply can't post everything I have for sale at any given time so if you have something special you are looking for just ask. I am sure we can find it for you.
